Spike is in his 1st season in charge at York Road after spells as assistant at Lancaster City and Kendal Town. New training methods and strict discipline has payed off with a fantastic start to the season.
| |
Andrew Sanderson - Captain
| |
'Sandy' is club captain, a goal scoring midfielder who also plays at centre half. Sandy has a 100% record from the penalty spot having never missed in a Storeys shirt.
| |
Nuno Rosario - Goalkeeper
| |
1st season with the club. Nuno also plays for Lancaster City Reserves. A fantastic athlete who makes up for his lack of height with his all round ability.
| |
Steven Stirzaker - Forward
| |
'Staz' has played for the club for 8 seasons. Local Bowerham lad who is currently the clubs top scorer. Much like Sandy has a knack of scoring in semi-finals and cup finals.
| |
Leeds born Chris studied at St Martins College. Excellent in the air with a great range of passing. 'Chobbs' is a popular member of the squad.
| |
Steven Miller - Midfielder
| |
Another Bowerham lad Steven is a former Lancaster City player. As a youth spent 2 seasons at the Blackburn Rovers academy. Has fantastic pace and bags of skill.
| |
A tremendous left back who is approaching 10 seasons at the club. Possibly the fittest man in the club (without knowing it!) Bob 'leaps like a salmon'. A graduate of the Moorside CP School of excellence along with Miller, Stirzaker, Morgan and Fraser.
| |
Tricky winger in his 2nd season with the club, a potential match winner on his day. Great pace and balance. Officially the worst trainer and biggest moaner in the club.
| |
A towering centre half with fantastic aerial ability. Likes to roam forward. Chris is known as 'The German' by team mates!
| |
New signing Deano has impressed with his competitive attitude on returning from living in Spain. Already has a few goals to his name and forms an impressive central midfield with McGonnall.
| |
Gary McGonnall - Midfielder
| |
Storeys only member of the armed forces Gary currently serves with the Royal Marines. As expected he's strong and aggressive with a fantastic eye for a goal.
| |
Gareth Turner - Midfielder
| |
Signed in pre-season from rivals TIC Dynaomos due to limited playing opportunities. There loss was Storeys gain as Gaz continues to impress week after week with his eye for a pass and energetic performances. A regular in the side.
| |
Another St Martins graduate. Rob is a former Wigan Athletic player having spent 7 years on thier books. Looking to establish himself at the club after signing in the summer. Injuries have held him back so far but has already shown signs of being a good addition.
| |
Martin has made a handful of appearances for the club over the past couple of seasons mainly playing his football for Trimpell. Now committed full time to Storeys he will be looking to bring his experiance and ability into the side.
| |
18 year old Tom has recently signed in from Galgate FC. A versatile player who can play in many different posistions. Also plays for Lancaster City.
| |
Benny can often be found joining in the end of training game knocking the ball in the net. The 'Diamond' who made white boots famous (not Alan Ball!) deals with everything at the club from renovating the changing rooms, preparing the pitch and forcing players to hand over subs!!!!
| |
Kenny Udall - Club Secretary
| |
Kenny is a shy, quiet character!!!! Often mistaken for Tommy Walsh of Ground Force fame. Usually heard before seen Ken is probably Storeys greatest ever goalkeeper. Now retired Kenny organises most club activities and can be found from 5am onwards at York Road most Saturday mornings.
| |
Dave Brown - Club Chairman
| |
Dave 'Bomber' Brown is known for his encouraging, positive comments from pitchside on matchday!!!! Bomber is a Storeys man through and through and along with Benny and Ken is behind most things which make the club the success it is.
